11+ Music Scholarship Preparation
Since 2019, SIMA Classics has helped students from China, South Korea, Taiwan, India, the United States, the United Kingdom and France receive music scholarships from schools including Harrow School, Eton College, Wycombe Abbey, St Helen's School, St Paul's School, St Paul's Girls' School, Haberdashers' Boys' School, Haberdashers' Girls' School, Westminster School and North London Collegiate School.
For 11+ music scholarship preparation, we usually recommend that students start in Year 4. This gives them enough time to prepare for the audition alongside their academic 11+ examinations. Before a student joins the programme, one of our mentors will assess their level, in person or online, and we will then share our feedback and recommendations with the family.
Our Music Scholarship Preparation Programme
Suitable for students playing at ABRSM Grade 5 or above on their first instrument.
Individual lessons with experienced SIMA Classics mentors, including teachers from the Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of Music. Students can continue with their own teacher if they wish, and we work alongside them.
Pieces chosen by our mentors and directors to suit each student's strengths and the requirements of each school.
Recommendation Letter
A recommendation letter by highly acknowledged and world renowned artist/professor for the selected instrument.
Audition/Interview Preparation
Full practice auditions, including sight-reading, aural tests and the conversation with our director, so that students feel confident on the day. Since 2019, more than 50 of our students have received music scholarship offers from their chosen schools.
